Situated on the Two Moors Way in the lovely village of Witheridge, the Mitre Inn, first built by the Benson family in 1840 with the intention of catching the passing trade brought about by the opening of the new Turnpike Road. It is now a Grade Two listed building situated midway between Dartmoor to the South, and Exmoor to the North, and providing Bed and Breakfast accommodation and serving a wide range of meals cooked to order.
