Allotments
Witheridge Gardeners please note that an approach has been made to Witheridge Parish Council in the hope that they will be able to supply land for
allotments for the villagers of Witheridge. If you are interested, then please contact Frank on 10884 861750 or Peter on 01884 860967.
Witheridge Food and Craft Fayre
Once again, the organisers and stallholders would like to say a big thank you to everybody who has supported the Fayres in 2008 - your support of local
producers and businesses was much appreciated.
The payments received from stall-holders covers the running costs of the Fayre and the surplus will be given to local organisations and charities. This
year’s donation will be detailed in a future edition of the Witheridge Scene.
Please make a note of the 2009 Fayre dates:
Easter - Saturday 28th March - Parish Hall 10.00 am - 1.00 pm
Summer - Saturday 20th June - Parish Hall 10.00 am - 1.00 pm
Autumn - Saturday 19th September - Parish Hall 10.00 am - 1.00 pm
Christmas - Saturday 12th December - Parish Hall 10.00 am - 1.00 pm
Wishing you all a merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Regarding the future use of the Congregational Church
With the agreement of the existing membership of the Congregational Church, leaders of Churches Together in Witheridge along with ecumenical advisors
are looking prayerfully into more creative ways of making use of the Congregational Church’s premises.
The process is at an early stage but our aim is to discover new opportunities through which in partnership we can explore areas of mission in the village. To take the discussion further, some basic research is being undertaken to ascertain the needs within the community. We hope this will reveal new areas of potential should the building be refurbished.
Naturally there would need to be extensive consultation before any plan were finalised. For now we wanted to make you aware that the process is taking
place and will keep you informed of progress.
Pastor Bill King (on behalf of Churches Together in Witheridge)
