Please Contribute Your Witheridge Memories

The Historical archive is keen to receive any memories people may have of Witheridge, however brief, in order to further their attempts to compile a full historical record. Please take a few minutes to record your recollections and send them to the webmaster. Information may include people, places, wartime, military service of relatives or friends, anecdotes of life, and anything else that you consider of interest. We would also welcome copies of any Photographs relating to our parish to include in our Archive.

Care and Relief for the Young

CRY will be moving into 2009 and seeking to support over 25 projects overseas in 16 countries worldwide. CRY is dedicated to caring for children who are disadvantaged, destitute or suffering as a result of exclusion, abuse, oppression and poverty.

Local CRY supporters invite you to join them at a special Coffee Morning and Sale in Witheridge at the Rest-a-While Centre on Saturday morning 7th March from 10 am onwards. Your support then could help to change the lives of many children during the coming months.

Ray Avent, local Voluntary Co-ordinator for CRY will be on hand to share more of how CRY works. Hope to see you on 7th March and wishing you, in the meantime, a very happy Christmas and every blessing in 2009!
